Embark on a fascinating journey of ancestry, migration and heritage.

This programme features Elsie Tan sharing her 2026 journey to Hui’an, Fujian, where she visited her ancestral home in Sanxia while tracing the roots of her grandfather, Tan Hoo Chwee, founder of Kien Seng Huat Stone Works and a founder of the Singapore Hui Ann Association.

The seminar also includes talks by Joseph Chia on Hui’an history and migration, and Darren Koh on the stone masonry trade of Kheam Hock Road, followed by a screening of a documentary, a panel discussion, and audience Q&A on heritage, migration, and ancestral discovery.
